A child's prayer

Yesterday when sitting down to dinner with the kids, I asked who wanted to say the dinner prayer. Isabelle's hand shot up and she said, "me, me, me". I looked around the table and all the girls hands were raised but I was surprised by Isabelle's excitement to say the prayer. Needless to say I asked Isabelle if she needed any help and she gave her usual "uh huh" response to my question. She folded her arms and I proceeded to whisper in her ear what to say and of course it didn't come out like I had whispered to her but she did know how to say "amen". I was so proud of her! I wanted to cry, the spirit was there so strong in that moment that I knew Heavenly Father was listening. It's those kinds of moments that make you realize how wonderful the gospel is to have in our lives.
