Yesterday I got the opportunity to go to the cannery and can some stuff on the dry pack side. Who would have thought filling cans with flour, rice, dried apples, and wheat could have been so much fun and given me such a feeling of accomplishment! It was so easy and I am already looking at when I can get over there again. Later on this month I get to experience the wet pack side so I can't wait to see what that is like! Thanks Mom Olson for showing me the ropes and getting me excited about food storage!

Next time you go, take me with you. I haven't a clue :D
You forgot to say "thanks for kicking me in the pants and telling me that you won't listen to anymore excuses!" Isn't that what you told me yesterday that I said? hehe
Sorry I took the "scenic route" in getting us there.
Love ya,
Mom O.
It is fun huh. The old missionaries crack me up. I went a few months ago a this old lady got cut on the tape dispenser. She bleed all over my stuff, it was so gross. I told her she was bleeding and she was like, oh, I think it's not bleeding anymore.
To clarify Kate's comment, she was talking about the service missionaries who helped at the Dallas cannery. I was there, and yeah, she bled all over Kate's food storage boxes. Gross.
