Well Sunday made things official with my new calling- 2nd Counselor in the Primary Presidency. I spent the whole week before I was sustained contemplating my experiences with Primary as a teacher, mom of Primary kids, and as a child who went through the Primary Program. When I showed up to church on Sunday I was half expecting the Bishop to pull me aside and say something like, "Sister Olson we've thought about it and have changed our mind about you taking this calling ". I felt such relief when I sat down after being sustained. I've never felt so nervous, emotional, and humbled by the chance I have been given to serve. My greatest hope is that I can give myself over to Lord and truly become an instrument in his hands. I am so lucky to be serving with the most wonderful mom's and women the Ft. Lupton ward has to offer. I can't wait to roll my sleeves up and get to work!
