It's all about the money

Here is my weird situation from last week. The 2nd counselor in our Relief Society just recently started watching her neighbors 2 month old baby a few times a week. She was going out of town and asked if Iwas free to fill in for her because her neighbor doesn't know a lot of people and has no family to help out. I checked my schedule and had nothing going on and decided "sure, why not". The nice thing about it that they were going to pay me. So the neighbor comes down to our house to meet me and set things up, no problems. I watch the baby just about all day and the mom told me she would drop off some money to pay me. We'll almost a week later, no money, and no communication from them. I'm feeling just a little weird about it now because I did a job for them and was expecting to get paid and NOTHING! Now I have to build up my courage and call them and ask if they are going to ever pay me. I just hate stuff like this because I don't know these people and how to go about asking them for the money. They seemed like a nice family so I don't know what's going on. Needless to say this story is to be continued.........
