People in your neighborhood

Most of you out there have heard us talk about the family whom lives next door to us. We fondly refer to them as our "crazy neighbors". They are the most annoying people we have ever met but we still do our best to be polite to them. Yesterday my friend Jen, came by our house to borrow something from me. She pulled up and parked her van up in our drive way, came inside, got what she needed and headed out to her car. Our neighbors had just pulled up into their drive way (they currently own 1 dog but are babysitting 2 other dogs right now). The mom hurried and went inside and left their 12 year old daughter to get the dogs out of the car (and of course these dogs weren't on leashes). They see my friend Jen walking away from our front porch and run after her growling and barking. I had closed my door at this point in time but when I saw these dogs run into our yard and heard all the barking I opened up my door to see what was going on. They were on our property surrounding my friend. The 12 year old daughter was trying to get control of them but how can you get a hold of 3 dogs that aren't on leashes. She managed to finally call them back over to their house and get them inside. I was pretty upset by this and told their daughter that those dogs needed to be on leashes since Brighton has leash laws. She pulled a leash out of her pocket but that doesn't really help unless you have the dog attached to it. My friend was a little scared and I file this away as another annoying thing that we have had to put up with living next to this strange family!
